Orange boasts over 30 cellar doors, here are some of our favourites. Orange Wine Week takes place in October each year and their sister group F.O.O.D (Food Of the Orange District) hold Food Week every April. 

 


Angullong

Angullong Cellar Door is based in Millthorpe in the gorgeous old bluestone stables. Try their wide range of wines, including lots of more unusual varities.

Bantry Grove

Bantry Grove has recently opened a cellar door in Millthorpe offering wine tastings, cheese & charcuterie plates along with coffee, tea & cake. Bantry Grove offers 5 wine varietals that are all handcrafted from premium high altitude fruit.

Borrodell

On a glorious site, high above the bustling city and overlooking lush countryside is Borrodell Vineyard, a luxury hideaway amongst the grape vines – one of Australia’s highest vineyards! Enjoy views that go on forever. Sample award winning wines in the underground cellar or have something to eat in the Sister's Rock restaurant.

Brangayne

Brangayne is located 15 minutes from Orange on the Pinnacle Rd. This cellar door is famous for its Tristan Cabernet and Isolde Chardonnay.

Canoblas Smith Wines

Canobolas-Smith Wines are a small family company making premium quality wines from our six hectares of vineyard on the northern slopes of Mt. Canobolas. Famed for their chardonnay and red blends.

Cargo Road Wines

A visit to Cargo Road Wines offers the cellar door for tastings, the possibility to stroll around the vineyard, have a picnic under eucalypt trees, look in the gallery and enjoy a meal or coffee in the cafe. Please call ahead if you can 0428 656 100.

Cumulus Estate Wines

Cumulus Estate Wines produce the iconic Rolling and Climbing wines at their vineyard which straddles the Central Ranges and Orange wine regions. Cumulus do not have a cellar door but do plenty of events during F.O.O.D and Wine Week.

De Salis

One of the highest vineyards in Orange with superb views across the region along with award winning pinot noir and chardonnay.

Hedberg Hill

Located 3km from Orange this vineyard and cellar door sits at 880 metres elevation and is well know for its tempranillo and chardonnay.

Highland Heritage Estate

The Highland Heritage Estate Cellar Door is located just 3km outside of Orange and is open 7 days per week from 9.30am - 5pm.

Mayfield Vineyard

Located on Icely Rd, Mayfield Vineyard boasts some of the prettiest views in the region with its goose filled lake and stunning grounds. Try the range of wines in the Old School House in front of the log fire or out on the verandah in the sunshine.

Moodys Wines

Located on the Icely Rd and open 10.30am - 5pm on weekends only. Try the award winning Sav Blanc or Shiraz.

Mortimers of Orange

The Mortimers Cellar Door is located in the Old March Public School est 1866. With meaty reds and elegant whites for you to taste, you can also unwind with a wine or beer by the glass.

Orange Mountain Wines

The grape variety Viognier is the cornerstone of the wines produced at Orange Mountain. Terry Dolle was one of the first vignerons to plant Viognier in this area in 1999. It is a very old grape variety from the Rhone Valley, France that was almost extinct as recently as 30 years ago. We are one of the few Orange Wineries who have successfully shown Viognier as a straight varietal, a co-fermented blend with Shiraz and as an ice wine style dessert wine.

Patina Wines

A wine tasting at the lovely Patina cellar door is not easily forgotten. Taste delicious riesling, chardonnay, cabernet, merlot & shriaz from an outstanding line up. The gardens that owners Gerald and Angie Naef have created are beautiful throughout the year.

The Printhie Cellar Door is a wonderful place to relax and taste the range of fifteen of wines, made right next door in the modern state-of-the-art winery.

Philip Shaw

Renowned winemaker Philip Shaw purchased the 'Koomooloo' vineyard in 1988 and since then has crafted some of Australias most iconic cool climate wines. You can taste his multi-award winning wines at the cellar door in his home on the hill. The cellar is open 7 days from 11am –5pm. Groups are by appointment.

Ross Hill Cellar Door is open 7 days between 10.30am - 5pm. Offering award winning chardonnay, cabernet franc, shiraz and merlot amongst others. Located on the Pinnacle Rd, pop along to see the Robson family & the winery in action.

Sassy Wines

Our philosophy is to incorporate all aspects of our vineyard and working farm to produce fine, elegant, interesting,satisfying wines, which stimulate both the palate and the mind without emptying the pocket, both yours and ours!

Both organic and bio-dynamic principles are used in the vineyard, along with the least invasive conventional methods.
